Sara received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Houston. She currently paints in oil and has also worked in pastel and has been involved with the Pastel Society of the Southwest. She has traveled from Fredericksburg, Texas to Scottsdale. Arizona and Jackson, Wyoming taking classes from notable artists including Harley Brown, Carolyn Anderson, Johanna Harmon and many others. The subject matter of her paintings and drawings is taken from local people and scenes, as well as those throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
Sara has also completed a number of portrait commissions.
I love the challenge of drawing from life and fill my sketchbooks with faces and bits of landscapes. Architecture also provides me with rich subject matter, inspiring me to capture a favorite setting or memory.
